An event celebrating all North Central students - students who commute and students who live on campus.

Come to the Boilerhouse between 8 and 9 AM and get your picture taken with Chippy! There will also be breakfast foods (while supplies last).

Cardinal Run

Want to win a Kindle, NCC sweatshirt, or a Lou's gift card?  Participate in the Cardinal Run!

Visit the following offices between 11 AM and 2 PM and collect letters from the offices to spell out either "CARDS" or "CARDINALS".  Work by yourself or as a team!  Many of the offices will also have snacks!  (Turn letters in at the WAC Front Desk before 6 PM on November 7 to qualify for prizes).

Tweet (#NCCPride), Facebook (NCC Commtuer Life Program), or e-mail icommute@noctrl.edu about what you love about North Central between November 7 and November 14.  The best quotes will be used to decorate the walls of the Lower Level of the Boilerhouse. 

You can also write down what you love about North Central at the WAC Front Desk.

 

The Commuter Life Program coordinates programs throughout the year or assists campus partners with their events.  All of CLP's events are open to all North Central students, but specifically designed for students who commute.

Commuter Life Program's Events

Cardinal Appreciation Days
In the past, this event was called Commuter Appreciation Day, where students who commuted were recognized as a group and celebrated for their involvement on campus.  The Commuter Life Program changed the name to include all students of North Central College. Even though the program's mission is to support, include, and advocate for students who commute, it wanted to designate a day that didn’t create separation among students, but that involved the inclusion of all students. Cardinal Appreciation Day is a way for all students to unite as one and celebrate what makes NCC so special!
 

Commuter Breakfast

Every Wednesday during Week 2 through Week 9 of each term, the Commuter Life Program provides FREE breakfast for students who commute.  It is CLP's way of making commuters' Wednesdays go a little easier.  Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM on the main level of the Boilerhouse.  Swing by for breakfast and information on the Commuter Life Program.  Quantities are limited - first come, first serve.

Dinner and A ... Dessert and A ... Snack and A ...

This event is for anyone who would like to hang out, meet new people, get some great food, and attend a fantastic event on campus. Each of the Commuter Assistants or CLP Interns will pick their favorite event on campus during each of the academic year. Then, they will make arrangements for all who are interested to go out to dinner/have dessert/grab a snack, and then make their way to the program.  The Dinner and A’s are both during the week and on the weekends.  Plus, there is often reserved seating at the event.
